Many of us are familiar with that tension between work and family life. Whether self employed, a manager looking for promotion or some who has taken on a new role that tension can feel overwhelming and exhausting. Being aware of the feelings this creates and the stories attached to this is often the first step. “I cannot cope because I have taken on too much”. “My manager doesn’t understand”

It can be difficult to find the space at work to think and talk about home pressures without being judged. Likewise, to be really listened to at home when trying to understand the pressures work may bring. Yet both work and family life have a significant impact on the other. When things are good at home you can perform better at work and visa versa.
